  • 1/3 cup 1/3 Green onions (light green part chopped).

  • 2 tbsp 2 Parsley (chopped).

Equipment

Directions

  • Put the three cups of water in the stockpot and bring it to a boil.
  • Once the water is boiling, add your dry ramen noodles and cook until the noodles are nice and tender. You may leave a little amount of water so that the noodles won’t dry out until you take them out for cooking.
  • Heat the two tablespoons of vegetable oil in another pan or a skillet. Once the oil is heated through, add your minced garlic and chopped ginger. Let them sauté for about 30 seconds.
  • Next, add the chopped onions, and mix them well with garlic and ginger for about 1 more minute.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sriracha sauce, and rice vinegar. Let the sauces simmer with the spices and onion.
  • Then, mix in the red chile flakes, and ramen seasoning along with brown sugar. Stir to combine everything well together.
  • Add your cooked noodles and mix the sauce with the noodles. Let the flavors of the sauce blend with every strand of your noodle really well, cooking it for about 2 more minutes.
  • Check the taste and adjust the seasonings if needed. You can add more ramen seasoning, red chile flakes, or a dash of sriracha sauce if you feel like you need more flavors.
  • Transfer the noodles to the serving bowls. Top your noodle bowls with boiled eggs, fried pork chops, or fried chicken and toasted sesame seeds. Sprinkle the green onions and chopped parsley for extra flavor and color.

Tips and Suggestions by SpiceRally

  • We have not used any additives or sauce packets that come with the original ramen packaging. But, you can use them if preferred. If you’re using them, make sure you adjust other seasonings accordingly.
  • Skip sriracha if you feel like it could make your ramen noodle recipe too hot. Or else, keep the siracha sauce and leave out the red chile flakes.
  • You can also use fried beef or fried tofu instead of fried pork chops or chicken.
  • If you don’t have rice vinegar at home, proceed with regular white vinegar.
  • Leave out toasted sesame seeds if you have any allergies.
