Ingredients

  • Spices
  • 1 tbsp 1 Garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp 2 Paprika

  • 1/8 tbsp 1/8 Cayenne pepper (Optional)

  • 1 tbsp 1 Ground cumin

  • Other Required Ingredients
  • 1/2 Cup 1/2 Mayonnaise

  • 1/2 Cup 1/2 Sour cream

  • 3 tbsp 3 Pickled jalapenos (Finely chopped)

  • 2 tbsp 2 Jalapeno brine (This is the juice that comes with the Pickled Jalapeno)

  • 1/2 tbsp 1/2 Sugar

  • 1/4 tbsp 1/4 Salt (or to taste)

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all these ingredients together. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • You can also add all these ingredients to a blender and pulse a few times for more saucier consistency with fewer chunks of pickled jalapenos.
  • Use instantly or store in the refrigerator until use.

Notes

  • If you do not like too much salt, you can omit salt from your recipe as mayonnaise, and pickled jalapenos already contain a decent amount.
  • If you do not want to use sour cream, you can use yogurt. But, it will give a slight difference in taste.
  • Moreover, if you need your sauce to be a bit milder than this, feel free to reduce the amount of jalapenos and add in some more sour cream.
  • Since mayonnaise is used as the base, do not freeze it. Instead, put the leftovers in a tight-fitting jar and keep it in the normal section of your refrigerator. In this way, you can keep this quesadilla sauce fresh for about two weeks.
