Our version of chicken seasoning is ideal for a weeknight dinner when you need to treat your family with something delicious and spicy. You can control what goes in this blend and adjust everything depending on your preference!

  • Spices & Herbs
  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 Chipotle pepper powder

  • 1 tsp 1 Sweet paprika

  • 2 tsp 2 Smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Ground cumin

  • 1 tsp 1 Garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Ground ginger

  • 1 tsp 1 Onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Ground black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Dry mustard

  • 1 tsp 1 Dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Dried rosemary

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Parsley flakes

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Dried thyme

  • Other ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 tsp 1 1/2  Sea salt

  • 1 tsp 1 Light brown sugar

  • Equipment:
  • 1 1 Mixing bowl (Small)

  • 1 1 Whisk/ Wooden spoon (Small)

  • 1 1 Spice jar/container


  • Combine all the ingredients in the small mixing bowl and whisk everything together until thoroughly mixed.
  • Use immediately with your chicken or store in a well-fitting spice jar/container and keep for up to 06 months.


  • We have used chipotle pepper powder to give this blend an additional kick of spiciness and heat. But if you have cayenne pepper, go with it, or use hot paprika instead. If not, skip the chile powder and proceed with paprika if you need this to be less hot.
  • Adjust or skip salt and sugar if you need to keep things simple or suited to your palate.
  • This homemade chicken seasoning is ideal as a dry rub., But you can also combine wet ingredients and make it a wet rub or a marinade.
