Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Fine Sea Salt

  • tbsp White Sugar

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder

  • 1 tbsp Ground White Pepper

  • 1 tsp Vegetable Stock Powder

  • 1 tsp Chinese Five Spice Powder

  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger

  • 1 tsp Paprika

  • ¾ tsp  Ground Sichuan Pepper (optional, but recommended)

  • ½ tsp Ground Black Pepper

  • ½ tsp Chili Powder

  • ¼ tsp Ground Cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp MSG (optional)

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl.
  • Whisk thoroughly until the seasoning is evenly combined.
  • For a finer, more uniform texture, pulse the mixture a few times in a spice grinder or food processor.
  • Transfer to an airtight spice jar and store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

Notes

  • For the Best Texture: Pulse the seasoning briefly in a spice grinder to create a finer blend that coats food more evenly.
  • Customize the Flavor: Increase the Sichuan pepper for a more authentic numbing sensation or adjust the chili powder to suit your preferred heat level.
  • Best Ways to Use: Sprinkle over freshly fried foods while they’re still hot so the seasoning adheres beautifully and delivers maximum flavor.
