Ingredients for the buffalo seasoning base:

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • ½ tsp Ground Black Pepper

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

  • 2 tsp Smoked Paprika

  • 1 tsp Ground Yellow Mustard

  • ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • ¼ tsp Chipotle Chile Powder

  • ¼ tsp Ground Celery Seeds

  • tsp Granulated White Sugar

  • Ingredients to make the marinade:
  • 3 tbsp Buffalo Wing Seasoning (from above)

  • ½ cup Hot Sauce

  • ¼ cup Olive Oil

  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Honey

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

Directions

  • In a small bowl, combine the ingredients listed under the buffalo wing seasoning.
  • Mix well until everything comes together perfectly and set it aside.
  • In another large mixing bowl, add the prepared buffalo seasoning mix along with the rest of the ingredients needed to make the marinade.
  • Whisk well until everything is thoroughly combined.
  • Use as desired or store the unused marinade in an air-tight container until needed.

Notes

  • Use it to marinate chicken for 2–4 hours, pork or beef for 4–6 hours, and seafood for 30–60 minutes. Reserve some fresh marinade (before adding raw meat) to brush on while grilling or baking for extra flavor.
  • The homemade seasoning allows you to adjust heat with cayenne or chipotle powder and balance sweetness with honey.
  • Store the unused marinade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
