Ingredients
3 tbsp Toasted White Sesame Seeds
1 tbsp Toasted Black Sesame Seeds
1 tbsp Fine Sea Salt
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Onion Powder
1½ tsp Ground Ginger
½ tsp Ground White Pepper
¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
¼ tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients to a spice grinder, coffee grinder, or high-speed blender.
- Add all of the ingredients to a spice grinder, coffee grinder, or high-speed blender.
- Grind until the mixture becomes a fine, evenly blended seasoning. Pause occasionally to scrape down the sides if needed, and avoid over-grinding to the point where the sesame seeds begin releasing too much oil.
- Transfer the seasoning to an airtight spice jar and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight for up to 3 months.
Notes
- Grind Carefully: Pulse just until finely blended to avoid releasing too much oil from the sesame seeds.
- Keep It Fresh: Because it contains toasted sesame seeds, refrigerating the seasoning will help preserve its flavor and aroma for longer.
- Ways to Use: Sprinkle over stir-fries, grilled chicken, seafood, roasted vegetables, fried rice, noodles, or avocado toast for an instant flavor boost.
