Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Sweet Paprika

  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika

  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder

  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin

  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar

  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme

  • 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl or a plate.
  • Mix everything together until evenly combined.
  • Use as preferred or store the seasoning in an air-tight spice container.

Notes

  • This recipe is enough for one whole chicken (3–4 lbs) or about 3–4 generous tablespoons of rub. It’s perfect for oven-roasted, grilled, air-fried, or even slow-cooked chicken.
  • You can adjust the heat by reducing cayenne or skip the smoked paprika if you want a milder blend.
  • Store it in an airtight spice jar in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
  • Use it on more than chicken! Try it on roasted veggies, potatoes, or tofu for a smoky, savory kick.
