This marinade is inspired by the flavor profile of a popular store-bought classic but elevated with fresher, brighter ingredients. The sweetness of pineapple juice, richness of soy sauce, and warmth of ginger and garlic come together in a way that feels both familiar and refreshingly new. Perfect for grilling nights or quick weekday meals, it transforms simple proteins into restaurant-worthy dishes with ease, proving that homemade always tastes better.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Fresh Pineapple Juice

  • ½ cup  Soy Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Honey

  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Ketchup

  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

  • 1 tbsp Freshly Grated Ginger

  • ½ tsp Onion Powder

  • ¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Use a whisk to mix everything until perfectly incorporated.
  • Use as needed or store the unused marinade in a tight-fitting glass jar until required.

Notes

  • Use as a marinade for chicken, beef, pork, tofu, or seafood. Marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours, adjusting sweetness with more honey or heat with extra chili flakes.
  • After marinating, simmer the leftover marinade in a saucepan for a glossy sauce or glaze.
  • Store unused marinade in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 5–7 days.
