Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch

  • 1 cup Water (Divided)

  • ½ cup Brown Sugar

  • ½ cup Soy Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar

  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger

  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tbsp Honey

  • 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce (optional)

  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil

Directions

  • Combine cornstarch and 1/2 cup of water in a mixing bowl. Mix well and set aside
  • In a saucepan, first combine brown sugar, soy sauce, and water
  • Start cooking over medium heat mixing everything until the sugar dissolves
  • Add rice vinegar, ground ginger, and garlic powder. Mix well to combine

  • Follow up with honey, dark soy sauce, and sesame oil
  • Combine well and let the sauce simmer over medium-high heat
